American Going Direct From Miami to Campinas

The residual impact of hosting the 2014 World Cup in Brazil remain to be seen. But in one respect, there seems to have been a measurable economic bump: Travel to Brazil. Whether for business or pleasure, the world has now seen Brazil in a way it hadn’t before. And what they’ve seen so far leads them to want to see more. The big, global companies are responding. For example, American Airlines announced recently that it will add daily service between Miami International Airport and Viracopos International Airport in Campinas, Brazil, the airline’s 10th destination in the South American country. This is significant because who, outside of a few industrialists, need to travel to Campinas on the regular? In spite of it all, I’m still rooting for Brazil.
