Brazil: Residency on Same-Sex Marriage OK

Brazilians love love.  They have a not underserved reputation for being, shall we say, free-spirited, including in the ways of amore.  I don’t know that the word “repressed” exists in their language.  Now, their Supreme Court is ushering in a new era of civil rights by granting residency status based on same-sex marriage.  Gay rights activists lauded the new announcement as an important victory.  It’s unknown what impact this will have on other countries facing this issue or on its neighbors, but Brazilians rarely care who’s watching anyway.  Viva la Bam!
