Brazil Still Not Sure on Air Traffic and World Cup Only 5 Months Away, Oh Boy!

I can’t remember in my lifetime this much anxiety preceding a World Cup. Not because of the potential action on the field, but because of the potential inaction off the field. Five months out from the World Cup, Brazilian authorities seem unsure about how to handle the crunch of international visitors, many of whom are expected to rely on air travel for the month-long tournament. It is a scary thought, being in a strange country at the mercy of the locals who are notoriously corrupt and inept. Nonetheless, like many other aficionados, wild horses couldn’t keep me away for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Natal, Recife, maybe Salvador – here I come.
