Brazil to U.S.: NSA Spying, Not Cool

“Yes, we spy on you, but it’s because we like you.” Every single country knows that espionage is not something that ended after the cold war. The problem presently is due to the fact that the National Security Agency whistle blower Edward Snowden made ally to ally espionage a high profile issue.
That’s why Brazilian Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota had to react and earlier this week said the partnership between Brazil and the United States faced new challenges after revelations surfaced from NSA leaker Snowden that the NSA had targeted Brazil and other Latin American nations in monitoring worldwide communications.
U. S. Secretary of State John Kerry defended the program, saying it had been approved by all three branches of the U.S. government. He pledged that the U.S. would work to provide transparency to the program for Brazil and other nations offended by the surveillance.
Yeah, but, we’re still going to spy on you.
