Brazilians Hope to Win International Trade Business from the World Cup

There is nothing like a major sporting event to serve as a backdrop for a business meeting. There’s a lot of hob-knobbing going on in those hospitality tents and sky boxes. Even if they have to travel over oceans, and mountains, and deserts to get there, many people in the international community are looking at the World Cup as a business opportunity. And while many Brazilians think the upcoming soccer World Cup is a waste of money, Apex, the nation’s export agency, says it can use the tournament to get more than $3 billion in new contracts for local businesses. Well, it’s great to be optimistic I suppose.
