Maracanã, 1950, the scene of the worst memory ever for Brazilian soccer fans. That is the year and the site where the Uruguayans stunned the host country Brazil to win the World Cup that year. Although Brazilians will never forgive or forget the Uruguayans, the Brazilians have an even more hated nemesis these days: Argentina. For Brazilians, not claiming this year’s FIFA World Cup would be bad enough, but even worse would be bitter rivals Argentina winning on Brazilian home soil, where 200 million locals are expecting to celebrate in June. And the very possibility of it, no matter how realistic, is just one of the under current stories at this Cup. Argentina might not make it out of the country if they win the Cup in Brazil.
