In Brazil, Cuba Has a Friend

If you don’t have a rich Uncle, as in Uncle Sam, it’s still nice to have a rich friend.  In the case of Cuba, Brazil is that friend.  Taking the lead and doing what the U.S would otherwise be doing despite political disagreement, Brazil became one of Cuba’s main economic partners worldwide. The two countries have expressed the will to broaden ties on the basis of a sustainable cooperation, reciprocity principles, and mutual benefit.

This South American nation is working with Cuba to extend the port of Mariel, west of Havana, the development of soybean and corn crop, and other projects in the island.  But, let’s be honest, Cuba will benefit more than Brazil in this relationship.
