If you’re a fan of the U.S. Soccer Team – and admittedly, it’s sometimes difficult these days – you know that we’ll be traveling to the heart of the Amazon to play Portugal in the World Cup. Let’s set aside that Portugal has the reigning best player in the World on their team in Ronaldo, let’s talk facilities. Brazilian officials have inaugurated the Arena de Amazonia in the jungle city of Manaus, the ninth World Cup Stadium to become available for footballs showcase event. Three still have to be finished, including the one hosting the opener in Sao Paulo in about three months. So, we’ve got a place to play, even if the opponent is uninviting.
