Maracana Site of Games, Glory, and Protests!

The natives are restless in Brazil. Sure, the rest of the world is anticipating the World Cup and Rio’s Olympics, but the locals? They’d prefer that some of that government largess is spent on making the day-to-day lives of the common Brazilian a little better, not worse due to the world showcase. Brazilian police dispersed a small protest against a public transport fare hike that broke out in front of Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana stadium over the weekend. Right about the time Brazil was hosting Mexico and Italy in a Confederations Cup Game. Imagine what the protests will be like during the World Cup!
