First, the U.S. and Mexico were/are involved in a war over homegrown tomatoes. Now Brazil is joining the fray. Three of the four largest economies may soon be in a Hemispheric hothouse over the Hothouse.
In Brazil, a longer-than-usual rainy season, high fuel prices and superheated demand have combined to send prices for the beloved food soaring, and consumers are seeing red.
