Chests squashed flat against backs, hours a day, every day. That’s the daily commute for the 8 million citizens who ride the subway and bus lines in Sao Paulo, South America’s largest city. And despite the national pride in hosting the next World Cup and the next Olympics, there doesn’t seem to be any end soon to the daily siege under which many Brazilians live. Not to hyperbolize, but, is Brazil a serious country?
